If you are looking for a different place for great food, you need to check out Zelko Bistro in the Heights(Houston).   It is located in a 1920’s Bungalow, which the Heights is famous for.  You can locate it at 705 E. 11^th St.  The bungalow gives it a great feel and atmosphere.  But, lets get to the food.  Chef Zelko has done an awesome job of putting together a Menu that focuses on comfort food and made with Local ingredients.  As you can tell from my job title, I am by no means a food critic.  And in fact, I can say that when I eat there I eat the same thing every time.  If its not broke, don’t fix it.  I start with the Fried Pickles, you can’t beat them.  And I then dig into my favorite chicken dish in the world, Captin’s Fried Chicken.  Before you jump to conclusions, this ain’t the Colonel’s Chicken.  It is breaded and fried.  But, what causes this chicken to stand out……  its breaded in Captain Crunch Cereal.  Yep, it sure is.  And I am telling you, you will get addicted to it.  The chicken is super moist and savory.  And the Capitan Crunch gives it an amazing taste.  Okay, I’m getting hungry.  So take my advice and check out Zelko Bistro for Lunch, Dinner, Brunch or even drinks and an appetizer.
