I recently had to replace my roof.  I know many times that insurance companies will pay to replace your roof.  But I had no idea how to go about it.  As we all know dealing with Insurance companies is scary and when asked I cant tell if my roof was damaged by a storm.  And for that matter, what date it was damaged.  Luckily I had Fred Reinwald to help me with this.  He was able to point out that my roof was damaged by a storm.  Fred works for Acumen Contracting, a roof company.  But, they go an extra step then most roof companies.  They help you with your claim.  When an insurance company addresses your claim they send out an adjuster.  But this adjuster works for the insurance company.  So who represents you?  Fred does. Fred helped me deal with a very difficult insurance claim.  At one point the insurance company tried to "low ball" the cost for the roof and damage.  Fred got involved and contacted the insurance company for me and he demanded that they send out another adjuster to do a correct and thorough job.  Fred was there with me every step of the way.  He also helped address other damage that needed to be fixed, gutters, etc.  On the day of the roof being built he was there all day making sure the work was done to my liking. 

My other reason for me using Fred to do my roof was his reputation and companies reputation.  I did not feel comfortable having a major project(roof) done with a company that I did not know very well or would disappear months later if I had an issue.  Roofs are an expensive investment, so do not leave it to the lowest bidder.  Since they used a name brand shingle (landmark) I have a 1yr labor warranty and 10yr warranty incase of manufacturing defects.
