My New Blog

ActiveRain is with a doubt the #1 Real Estate website for Blogging.  Of course I say that without a doubt because I do not have a doubt!!  With over 200,000 members it is a best place for real estate information.  If you are not already on ActiveRain, you need to sign up today.  Here is why:

1.The Info- Just the information alone is worth being a member, which by the way signing up for ActiveRain costs nothing.  It is over 200,000 members that are all real estate industry related.  And probably over 95% are realtors.  You need some suggestions on marketing ideas, an Activerain member has written about it.  Want advice on what phone to buy that is best for realtors, need to know specific information on a Bill getting passed that will affect your business,  need advice on how to improve your social media?  Acitverain has blogs that will cover all of them.  And the best part to remember, the members are in the real estate business.  So they speak our language

2. The Profile-  I never hear folks talk about this, but next to your website ActiveRain allows the largest profile possible.  If you do not have a website this is an amazing tool to provide even more information about yourself.  If you do have a website, this is still a HUGE tool.  You can give testimonials, social media buttons, video, links to your blogs/posts, explain your niches, etc.  Trust me, you can only explain so much in 160 characters(twitter) or on facebook.  I'm sure there is a limit to how much you can put in your profile on ActiveRain, but I haven't gotten there yet!.  Check my Profile out!

3.Traffic- I can say personally that my blogs on Activerain almost always get more traffic, then the blogs that I post on Trulia or even my own website.  The truth is, there are more folks going to Activerain then your website.  So why not take advantage of the traffic!!

4.Points- It will become an addiction, but Activerain gives points when you comment on a blog or post your own blog, etc.  The more points you get the higher you become on your list of realtors in your chosen area.  Once you are in the top 2 of your city or county you become featured.  So when someone looks up your town you will appear at the top.  Did someone say free advertising....

5.Localism- There is no better place to show you are a Local Expert then Localism.  Localism is a "website" that Activerain provides for specific counties, towns/cities and even subdivision!!.  This allows your blogs to be easily found in specific areas.  Think about of this for a moment, I am a potential seller and come across the Localsim page for my subdivision.  If all I see is posts(blog) that you have written about my subdivision, I have to assume you are the local expert.  And I found my realtor to list my home!!
