I was in Walmart last week for a quick stop-in to get deodorant.  And what do I see????  "Character Bandz".  They are rubber bands in the shape of characters, items, etc.  All the kids have them.  Since I am very close to a 3 year old, I figured I would get them for her.  I couldn't chose between the Disney Characters and the Disney Female Characters.  So I bought both.  It was $4 for 24 bands, I got two packs.  Now after wearing them for a week, I have realized a couple things:

1. I am 30yrs old!!  Why I am wearing rubber bands.
2. sure they are cute shapes, but once they are on your wrist they look like deformed rubber bands.
3. Did I really spend $8 for 48 rubber bands???  I could have gone next door to Office Depot and bough a pound of them for $4.99!!

I'm not sure that there is a lesson here.  Except don't make the same mistake that I did.  And lets all hope this craze is over soon.
