Recently, Yahoo Finance had a great article on the Top 10 cities for college graduates.  It seems that the best places for college gradates is also the best place to buy a home.  Prior to the Real Estate "bubble" bursting in some areas, such cities as Phoenix, Seattle and Atlanta were most popular.  But after the burst the best cities for college grads is also where homes prices did not dramatically decrease.  Such cities as Dallas, Austin and Houston.  So what you are seeing is a migration of the "Best and Brightest" to other states for better employment opportunities.    Hence the States with better economies. 

So what causes Houston to be #5..........

Texas did great on this list.  Not only was Houston #5, but Dallas was #2 and Austin was #1!!  It also helps that Texas has fantastic schools such as Rice, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, University of Houston, etc.  This is just another great reason to move to the Houston area.
