Fort Bend County(Texas) has just been voted #5 in the nation for Job Growth by CNN/Money Magazine.  As someone who lives in Fort Bend County this is amazing news.  The list was based on job growth for the last 9 years.  Fort Bend has seen a 55% job growth from 2000-2009.  Jeff Wiley the president of the Greater Fort Bend Economics Development Council said " Our strong economy, low tax burden, low crime rate and overall low cost of doing business foster a very favorable business climate for those looking to relocate...". 

Most recently Money Management International(MMI) has announced its relocation to Fort Bend and will bring about 350 jobs with them.  Fort Bend county job growth also benefits from:

• Oil Industry
• Engineering firms
• Energy Firms
• Micro-Electronic firms like Texas Instruments
• Health Care- Hermann, St. Luke's, Methodist Hospitals and Oakbend Medical Center
