Don't worry if you missed the chance of getting the $8,000 or $6500 homebuyer tax credit.  I have an even better tax credit for you, the Mortgage Credit Certificate(MCC) tax credit.  Here are the specific's of the MCC tax credit:

1. The MCC tax credit allows you to save up to $2000 a year off your income taxes.  This is a refund of up to $2000 off their income taxes every year that you are in the home!!!!!!
2. it is available for any home in the Houston area, Harris County, Fort Bend County or any where in Texas.
3. There is a 1%(of the loan amount) fee and other fees to the TDHCA(govt) for this program.  The savings way out weight the cost!

5. There are income limits
