I have been informed that the City of Sugar Land is planning to annex the area in green on the attached map (see below).  The Board will be discussing the proposed annexation on Monday, September 19 at the regular Board Meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.   In addition, the City of Sugar Land will have 2 public hearings on the proposed annexation, on September 20 and September 27.  The Council meetings begin at 5:30 pm, but public hearings are rarely at the beginning of the meeting. 

The annexation could happen before the end of 2011.  Please plan on attending the Board meeting if you want to get further information, and plan to attend one of the public hearings at the City of Sugar Land.  Information about the City’s proposed plans can be found at the following link.  See Council meetings dated October 26, 2010 (Item IIB), April 19, 2011 (Item IX), and August 16, 2011 (Item X):
