As we are all try to improve our marketing for the future, one great way to do this is Facebook.  I am sure you know what Facebook is.  But, there are great ways to increase your internet presence by using Facebook more.  Here are 5 great ways to do that:

1. If its Private, keep it Private.  You can have more then one facebook profile.  Keep one as a private one(not public, so it will not be found on the Internet).  And make one Public(Business Page).  This will make it easier for you to keep your private information off the Internet.  While still marketing yourself and you get one chance to make a first impression. 
2. Post Links and Listings.  In the place for your status("what's on your mind?"), you can put a link for a webpage.  When you do this it will actually show the link topic, image, etc.  it looks great and will get people's attention.  Use this for your blogs and listings, etc
3. "like" community pages.  This will allow you to keep informed on what's going on in your area. 
4. Post Blogs on community pages- This is just one more way blogging will get you free advertising.  Look for community pages on your town, development, schools, business pages, etc. 
5. Advertise on Facebook.   You can actually pay to have your advertisement(100 characters and photo) show up on the right side of the page.  You can pay per click or 1000 posting of the advertisement.  The pricing is very reasonable, depending on how large the group is you advertise too.  The best part..... you can pick the demographic of who will see you add.  So you can market to men, woman, age groups, their likes, the town they are in, etc.  In my opinion this is the most affective advertising possible as Facebook grows.  Where else can you market to such specific groups.

Marketing on the Internet is becoming the most effective way to advertise yourself.  And Facebook allows you to that the most effective and cheap way possible.
